The forests and gardens at the Technion create a welcoming environment not only for residents and visitors but also for wild boars that roam the area.

Surveillance cameras installed for monitoring revealed that the boars frequently gather at night in the Lokey Garden area. As a result, in August 2021, a decision was made to fence off part of the garden, separating it from the upper forest, thus allowing the boars to continue their nightly visits in a designated area while ensuring that the Technion community can safely enjoy the campus gardens and trails.
