The Churchill Building Plaza is part of the central public building complex, which includes the Churchill Building, the Senate Building, and the Central Library, located in the heart of the historic campus. This area houses the large central auditorium in the Churchill Building, the offices of the Technion’s senior management in the Senate Building, and the Central Library, which features changing exhibitions and holds the Technion archives, containing historical documents spanning more than a century.

The buildings were designed by architects Arieh Sharon and Idelson, in a brutalist style. This means that the material from which the building is made is exposed to the eye, so the concrete can be seen, with minimal decoration to the building.
