We are standing in the central court of the campus, from which there are entrances to the three main buildings, Churchill Building, Senate Building and the Central Library Building. In front of us is the bridge that connects the library with the Churchill Building, and provides a framework for the plaza. The ramp descends to the lower level where the Wall of the Fallen is located and a lawn on which various events are held.

All three buildings have an inner courtyard. The Churchill Building retains its original courtyard, and if you enter the Central Library, you will see the remains of the inner courtyard, which is now enclosed and air-conditioned. All three buildings, including their courtyards and surrounding areas, are designated as listed buildings.
