Mehoudar Center

The Center for Training Patent Inventors is housed in the Danziger Building, a uniquely designed structure created by architects Hecker and Neumann. It serves as a hub for fostering entrepreneurship, creativity, and innovation at the Technion. Named after and founded by Rafi Mehoudar, an entrepreneur and Technion graduate from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Mehoudar, credited with 400 patents, is best known for developing drip irrigation systems that significantly reduced water consumption in agriculture. The center offers a comprehensive range of resources and support to help inventors transform abstract ideas into valuable industry prototypes.

The center has cultivated a diverse and dynamic community of inventors, ranging from students to senior researchers, who collaborate by sharing resources and leveraging cutting-edge technological advancements. It features state-of-the-art prototype and electronics laboratories equipped with modern tools, including 3D printers, laser cutters, and waterjet cutting machines. Visitors benefit from a hands-on experimental environment, opportunities to establish industry connections, and interdisciplinary collaborations with experts from various faculties.
